For three days only, from 18–20 September, Kai Art Center hosts Foto Tallinn 2026, Estonia’s only international art fair. The fair brings audiences the best of contemporary photographic art selected by an international jury, representing 15 countries. The work of 45 artists is on view, with most of the artists and gallerists present to introduce and discuss the works. The fair also features a special programme for art collectors, as well as a public programme of 15 events including tours, discussions, and conversations.
At the opening evening of Foto Tallinn 2026, Sarah Stone was announced as the recipient of the Artproof Production Grant. Sunly, a long-standing supporter of contemporary art, selected works by Sigrid Viir (Temnikova & Kasela Gallery) and Līga Spunde (Kogo Gallery) for its art collection.

For three days, from Friday to Sunday, Foto Tallinn, Estonia’s major contemporary art event held every two years, offers audiences an overview of developments in photographic art in recent years and the most notable works in the field. Visitors can meet artists and art professionals and engage in discussions about the current state of contemporary art and its future potential. More than 200 diverse artworks, artists, and gallerists from 15 countries, and a wide-ranging public programme are open to visitors at Kai Art Center from 18–20 September.
Among the contemporary art experts and collectors taking part in the 15 events of the Foto Tallinn 2026 public programme are Anna Tellgren from Moderna Museet, Sara Giuliattini, Stella and Tõnu Runnel, Priit Lepasepp, Lilian Hiob-Küttis, Sakari Tervo, Kadi-Ell Tähiste, and Monika Kallas-Anton.
Foto Tallinn takes place every two years and is being held for the 12th time this year. From a record number of applicants, an international jury selected 16 art galleries and 15 individually participating artists. In total, the fair presents works by 45 artists from 15 countries.
The jury for Foto Tallinn 2026 comprised Anna Tellgren (Moderna Museet, Stockholm), Jeppe Ugelvig (New York), Margot Samel (New York), Sara Giuliattini (Polycopies, Paris), and Lilian Hiob-Küttis, Artistic Director of Foto Tallinn 2026.
